It’s not tbh, I have a 07 i, automatic w/ paddles shifters. I like the auto cause it is very smooth shifts without hesitation and drives perfectly. Manual transmissions are fun and all, but sometimes you want to drive and relax. Plus if you can find one optioned with the paddle shifters you can drive it like a manual when you want. I actually like the paddle shifters on both cars, but I feel there is a less lag in shift times on the i coupe.
